Dublin City Library and Archive are holding a seminar on Popular Theatre in Dublin with Conor Doyle speaking about Jimmy O’Dea, and Cecil Allen speaking about the Queen’s Theatre. The talk will take place in the Conference Room on Wednesday 23 November at 2.30 p.m.

Free talk by archivist Brian Donnelly on the newly published Report of The Survey of Hospital Archives in Ireland, Tuesday 22nd November at 6pm.
The Survey of Hospital Records in Ireland is the fruits of a project conducted by the National Archives of Ireland, with support from the Wellcome Trust. It draws together archivists and historians to discuss the current state of Irish medical archives, and aims to draw attention to the myriad of issues that practitioners face when dealing with historical health and medical archives. All welcome.

The material on the IFI Player has been selected to give audiences a taste of the breadth and depth of the collections preserved by the Archive. Home movies, newsreels, travelogues, animations, feature films, public information films and documentaries have been included as the IFI have tried to reflect all aspects of indigenous amateur and professional production.

Through War and Rebellion: Cork 1912-1918 - Schools Resource Packs

Cork City and County Archives presents a set of new resource packs for students and teachers in secondary schools. Focusing on the momentous period from the introduction of the 3rd Home Rule Bill to the end of the First World War, the packs present facsimiles of important original documents from collections at the Archives.
