Remembering 1916, Recording 2016: the National Library’s Web Archive

. Posted in Explore Your Archive 2016 Events

As part of NLI 2016, the National Library's programme for 2016, the library's project Remembering 1916, Recording 2016 is recording the online life of Ireland on the 100th anniversary of 1916.

Join Maria Ryan, of the NLI  for a talk on how the NLI is capturing, preserving and making available key websites that tell the story of the 2016 commemorations for future generations of researchers. The talk will take place on Thursday 24 November at 1pm.

By collecting these websites the NLI is contributing to the national conversation around commemoration by providing a unique contemporary online record of Ireland's 2016 local, state and international commemorative events.

Remembering 1916, Recording 2016 is made possible through funding from the Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs.

All welcome. Booking not required.
